    What is a pirate?
    The legal definition of a pirate:
    piracy in international law is the crime of robbery or other act of vlocne for a pirate.

    *When a pirate said “shiver me timbers” it was actually a request for another pirate to shave an especially difficult to reach portion of his back.

    * While pirates would allow their faces and chests to get hairy, there was a strong superstition against hairy backs.

    3. What does shiver mean ??
    “shiver” means “shave” and “timbers” means “lower back.”

    AVAST: A nautical term meaning “What are you up to?”
    Example: “Avast,me hearty

    GROG: A pirate’s favourite drink.
    Example: “Tis lovely grog that quenches me thirst”

    HEAVE TO: An order to sail.
    Example: “Heave to me hearties so that we can come aboard.

    ME HEARTY: My friend.
    Example: “Ahoy, me hearty, will ye be up to helpin’ me look for buried treasure?”

    Pirates believed that having a woman on board is bad luck. Pirates also steal stairs to mend there ships pirates have a in so they can put there weapons in pirates don’t have that much honour

    And I know the pirate song.

    15 men on a dead man’s chest,yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!
